and local beauty spots, Matt Hancock is saying he will ban all forms of outdoor exercise, despite the fact it is only a small minority doing it while the majority of us stick to the rules. Is this fair?

Easier to arrest the idiots breaking the rules than the rest of us. I hear that London parks are a big problem. Don't parks have gates which can be locked? We have many fewer cars going to the nearby coast than last weekend. Again, it is easier to ask people if they are locals just taking their walk - if not, fine them. The majority should not suffer for the few prats....

Not everybody lives in semi suburbia.
Gangs living in back to back terraced houses with nowhere to go, and high rise blocks of flats, cannot be contained.
Fighting the police will be a joy to them.
as usual we all must suffer for the morons.
It may be necessary, fair doesn't come into it.
Obviously an appeal to common sense has failed. Next time the government will have to bring out the big stick.Make sure the Power of Arrest is there in Black and White on the statute books first.
Margie, use the report button and ask the Ed to change it. It might not be done until tomorrow though.
This happened on my local beach. A copper threw water over their BBQ when they refused to move. They've now been summonsed.

Human stupidity is why the virus will always have the upper hand.
Not many people here, but if you watch for a while you'll see groups of walkers and bikers who are certainly not at least 6ft apart: https://www.earthcam.com/world/uk/bognorregis/?cam=bognorregis

Good on that copper ladybirder!

Does the video show that the walkers and cyclists are from different households?

If they all in the same family, or live together - why would they not be able to go for a walk or cycle?

That's the thing I don't understand. People seem to be assuming that these people don't cohabit.

Why?
are all these people from the same household SP?

just one of many examples, there were queues on Snowdon the other day!

sp - are you on a wind up today?
//If they all in the same family, or live together // sic.

Possible that in Brighton gangs of "blokes" all live together I suppose. Not likely in the rest of the Country.

I'll be honest with you...

This is the feed that was linked to earlier in this thread:

And it shows a deserted beach, with a few people walking about, and the odd car.

The worse thing about Covid-19 is the families who are losing loved ones.

The second worst thing is the impact it's going to have on all of our lives. There will be people who will lose their jobs, houses, businesses, pensions and financial security

But the third thing that Covid-19 is responsible for is the noise coming from brand new epidemiologists.

I see.
Nick Hancock can say what he likes. I’m going out. On my own. Or maybe with MrsZ.
I wont be happy, we finish 14 days of self isolation on Tuesday and really need some leg stretching after getting our dog back from the neighbours. We lost half our Aussie trip, had the scramble to get back and now ready for some fresh air.
Question Author
Hopefully, it won't happen CaC.

ZM I know his name's not Nick, I've asked the Ed to alter it if she will.
