at Southampton, Flybe represented 90% of the airport's traffic. the airport will be looking to have other airlines step into take over some of the routes; however other low cost carriers use larger aircraft that can't land at Southampton. there's a scheme to extend the runway to take care of this, however the local council has declared a climate emergency and is therefore unlikely to approve it. the airport is very likely to shut and with it will go not only jobs immediately associated, but also those further down the supply chain. A number of other airports are in a similar position, notably Cardiff.
