If anyone ever wondered why the singer Duffy went from multi platinum to utter silence, it seems that there is a horrific reason.

A young woman has been allegedly confined and raped -and all you lot can do is use this as a platform for grandstanding. Typical AB.

Why does NJ answer on these threads? Does he live in a cave?

It's utterly heartbreaking what happened to her.
appalling case, i hope they get the man responsible,
I don't think NJ "Lives in a cave" & if what happened to this woman is true, then she naturally gets everyone's condolences, but we don't know if it is. Is there any one being prosecuted for the crime? Kidnapping, drugging & raping a woman, is next to murder the most serious & heinous of crimes which would require a life-sentence.
What is happening?
I think that perhaps, on reflection, the 'senior' gentlemen who have diverted this thread into the trivia of how well known this young lady is, may reflect the tone of the OP, and endeavour to stick to that if they post any further comments.
Simple question andy; what is the police position on this? There is no mention on the link in the OP
It does seem a little strange that there is no mention of a police investigation.
Seems an awful lot of anger generated from simple admissions of not knowing recent singers. Maybe that should be reserved for the perpetrators of the crime against Ms Duffy.
It's not anger.
It has obviously taken Duffy time to come to terms with her ordeal. Maybe doing the interview will give her the courage necessary to report the matter to the police. Maybe she has already done so?
I believe the only currently known information is what Duffy herself has posted on her Instagram account. This is her choice and will, or should be, respected. She states that she will answer questions in a live interview...that will obviously take place when SHE is ready. Yet Khandro asks why there is no more info. Because she is not ready to divulge it...or is not able to at this time. Respect that...

I'm afraid that is tosh. A most serious crime has been allegedly committed & the police are duty bound to launch an inquiry as they did with Flack whose victim, like her didn't even want one.
Flack's boyfriend reported the incident to the police, thereby triggering their investigation. If Duffy (or any other rape victim) doesn't want the police involved, she is under no legal obligation to do so. As far as I know.
NJ. Why do you waste your time posting on threads which mean nothing to you ?
Khandro...maybe that's all been done. Have you considered that possibility?

Yes I have, but what I'm saying is usually when the media report a serious crime they give some information as to how the police are involved. why not here?
In between the good wishes for speaking out now and the twisted jibes from trolls about why she didn't before, she has said in the coming weeks she will give an interview or make an announcement to answer some questions posed.
Mamya; An extremely serious crime - akin to murder - has (allegedly) been committed in the UK & the police are duty-bound to investigate further.
May be they are, I don't know, but I asked if anyone could show a link that an investigation is under way & none has been forthcoming.
So far all the news media have published virtually the same story. I'm sure when there is more news, it will be forthcoming.
No doubt the Daily Mail has a team of 100's on the case, in the hope of getting the info out before the person who's story it is does.
Khandro - // Simple question andy; what is the police position on this? There is no mention on the link in the OP //

I have no idea, and no idea why you imagine I would!

Perhaps you should direct your question to the police?

Not being a policeman, I am not in a position to answer your question.

I don't believe that Pasta is a member of the press fraternity - once again you are asking the wrong person.
