Hey, what's cooking?

We're having chicken and pork cheek chasseur, spring greens, broccoli, savoy cabbage, peas and sprouts. I forgot to buy carrots, darn it!

What's on your menu today?

Roast chicken with all the trimmings. I’m about to be called for carving duties any minute.

Sounds lovely, Zacs. I think Chicken is my favourite roast, closely followed by lamb.

Don't think you can beat a bit of lamb, "slam in the lamb" was TV add, or a piece of goat.

They do like a leg of kid in Spain, Tony. I always had the lamb though. We're going to in-laws for a lamb dinner next Sunday, as they're having the nipper overnight. We're going to the Andrea Bocelli concert next Saturday - can't wait :-)

That sounds lovely, Sharon. My husband thinks apple sauce should be banished off the face of the earth. I couldn't eat roast pork without it.

Do you have Yorkshire puddings with all roasts, Bobbi? I must admit I've never made a really good YP. It's something I always let myself down on.

Yes Lady CG I always use piece of goat if I'm making a curry.

I've had goat curry a couple of times and really liked it. You just don't see goat meat in the supermarkets and not many butchers seem to stock it.

I suppose a Yorkshire lass can't be without her Yorkshire pudding, Bobbs.

One of my signature dishes is a Yorkshire pudding made plate sized and filled with a broth.

no barbeque. my sf batter would not be able to be bbqed as its too runny

No, you wouldn't bbq the fritters but the sausages you would. I just hope our house and garden is in some semblance of order by next summer and we can have a housewarming BBQ and invite people over. I did miss having one this year.

I cannot eat roast pork without Apple sauce. But I don't make my sauce too sweet, I like it tangy and sharp.
