Hope that this hasn't been posted already, but I've just read that newsreader Peter Sissons has died aged 77.

It's unfortunate that many of the reports of his death refer to him simply as a 'newsreader', because that's a job that's relatively easy to do. It was his talent as a journalist that made him a great broadcaster:

Oh that is sad, my youngest daughter was besotted with him when she was a toddler - I had to wipe the kisses off the TV screen.
