Danny Baker has a habit of shooting himself in the foot - quickfire responses do indeed need to be vetted by an agent or assistant for some in the public eye before going mainstream.

Brilliant that he’s been fired. To me his tweet was obviously racist, especially given his football pedigree, even if he really really didn’t mean it that way. I can't identify with people I grew up with in the same deprived areas because my skin is a different colour?

Considering it was only back in 1964 when they actually got equal rights an treated more like human beings. Up until then, there was segregation, so it makes sense for those who were young in the 60's / 70's to have prejudice opinions of black people and to think it acceptable to mock them / compare them to primates. Disgusting stuff. Awful. Can't believe it actually happened.

Have we ever had a black PM?.. It was 2009 when we got the first black president of the USA. Black people are still fighting for their position in society to this day. How many black MP's are there? Dianne abbot was the first one, that was 87. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Asians were never compared to chimps apes or monkeys. I am aware that in early British politics there was a lot members of asian / indian / srilankian heritage. That is not black in my opinion.
