Jno,I am not saying that the NZ PM is not heartfelt and full of sympathy but I don't feel she has the need to dress up.

If she gets her point across with fine words does she really need to match it on the visuals?
v_e - shock horror!
Well it doesn't do those women being whipped and jailed for not wearing a head covering in countries like Iran.

Solidarity sisters... Solidarity.
+doesn't do them any favours
Dear me, Spicerack.

Why have they got silly smiles on their faces?

And is it possible to answer that question truthfully without committing a crime of some sort under our Weimar Republic hate speech laws?
^ There was a picture of some virtue signalling NZ women (possibly MPs) wearing hijabs (naturally) but also giving the Isis salute. Can't find it now.
Just shows how thick these people are.
Jack the Hat wouldn't last long in the Islamic Repoublic of Iran would JTH's preferred pronoun?
I disagree with it.

Virtue signalling. One can empathise without 'dressing up'

They wont Tambourine since you wont find any virtue signalling right-on liberals in their ranks.

And I agree with them not doing so.
There is one reason, and one reason only why the Mail has picked up on this, and that is the physical attraction of the officer concerned.

That explains why the Mail printed eight images of the young lady concerned, which is seven more than is required to make the point, including two images of her out of uniform, and therefore irrelevant to the story, which is two more than needed to not make any point at all.

I would suggest that if the officer had looked less like a catwalk model, and more like Boris Johnson, the Mail would have passed on the story entirely.
Possibly, andy.
Also, she mightn't have been so keen to show off had she been fugly.
We'll never know.
Associated Press has chosen this image and the one further down the page of two very attractive ladies.

Without the ability to question Constable Evans or the Paramedic also shown regarding their reasons fully, I am happy to accept they saw it as a sign of respect as they attended the Cemetery.
Andy, unlike Rod Stewart who we now learn shys his face to one side because of a lump on his nose.

Maybe he can wear both of those hats somehow! ;-)
In answer to the OP - YES !

Indeed, and I notice the Mail's new policy of only showing an image if Liz Hurley if there is a 'y' in the day of the week!!
