I am saying nothing at this stage - I think the report, and the result of the case, says it all.

sanamc - // Well, this thread is certainly upping his "well-knowness". //

You think?

If 'Tommy' really thought the Answerbank was increasing his profile, he'd be on it in a flash!!!
AH, but why did the police single him out in the first place? Answer: because they knew who he was. As I said, common sense. Pity the judge wasn’t rather more well endowed.
Oh I think the judge knew what was going on.
Good luck with your appeal Tommy ..
So do I, Zacs. Pretty shameful of her.
The police turned up to a pub to throw someone out that was not

A, barred from said pub
B, Causing any trouble in that pub.

So this was just a random act was it?
Seriuosly?
Not in my book, N. Live by the sword.......

If I was a police officer, and I encountered a group of rowdy football fans in a pub, and I started having a word with the loudest one of all (and let's face it, you can't really argue that 'Tommy' would be sitting in the corner listening!) - and he smelled of alcohol, and then he got his phone out and started filming me, I would not perceive that as having 'singled him out'.

I appreciate you are looking for an alternative angle on this, but I think you are working with very little evidence to support the premise that this was pre-planned by the police because 'Tommy Robinson' was drinking in a pub on a match day. That's hardly worth 'planning for' - is it? It's not like it's a rare occasion I would guess.
That you applaud unfair play disappoints zacs, but it doesn’t surprise.
^same to you, AH.
Evidence! Naomi’s doesn’t need such piffling mundane fripperies as evidence, AH. Supposition always wins.
if he wasnt well known why was he marched out of the pub with his family - absolutely disgusting!

check twitter 'the rebelmedia.com' by Exra, canadian rep. Who claims TR solicitor let him down by not using evidence from publican who confirmed to police TR was quietly with wife & kids till cops roughed them up.
As to wether it’s unfair.......that’s a moot point.

There is no suggestion that the police visited the pub with the intention of throwing anyone out.

For reasons unknown - but consider that maybe the licensee called them because a group of fans were getting a bit loud, and he wanted them spoken to and asked to quieten down - the police officer started a conversation with 'Tommy Robinson' who then became aggressive, started filming the officer, was offered a chance to leave, and refused.

All of that is in the report - it only suggests that 'Tommy' was 'targeted' and 'thrown out for doing nothing' if you wish to see it that way.

You, as a supporter of 'Tommy Robinson, choose so to do, I as a non-supporter, do not.

Firstly, the report advises that his family were not with him, they were outside.

Secondly, you don't need to be 'well known' to get yourself ejected from a pub, you just need to start grandstanding for your friends by filming a police officer in the execution of his duty, and then refuse a request to leave.

It's that simple - no 'fame', imagined or otherwise, required.
If you think TR wasn't targetted simply because he is TR you are either willfully ignoring the truth or you are thick.

At least Zacs is being honest but that promotes the question who should be targetted in such a manner...where does it start and end?

AH, the evidence here would suggest you’ve embarked upon yet another of your hate fests.

Zacs, ‘moot’? You sound like spath in disguise!

I fail to see 'unfair play' here.

'Tommy Robinson', as is his wont, fetched up in court as a wounded hard-done-to citizen who was badly treated by the police because he is 'famous' - and the judge elected not to agree with that view.

What is 'unfair' about that?
Naomi, retract that comparison at once! ;-)
