Certainly something to be considered but we do have different problems here in the UK and certainly nowhere near the issues Chicago had.

The bottom line is you need to get tough on the repeat offenders. You also need to do what Rudy Giuliani did and that is get black people to realise they are the bigger victims of this and to help the Police to sort it out. OK, he wasnt perfect but it did get things going.

But, until we get shot of the left wing liberal judiciary run now by the Global elite and rid Police 'Services' of the PC culture and return to proper coppering we will get nowhere.

Alongside this we do need to look at why some groups turn to such crime. Much better to stop the illness rather than try to cure it once you have it. But this will take time so we need to get tough first to save young lives.
Bit long, started flicking through after about half way: but seems a common sense approach to me. The bad guys (or whatever grouping) are more likely to listen to "one of their own" that accept common sense being preached to them by authority figures.
Peer group education is definitely a model that has shown success in certain areas - has to be worth trying.
