It seems to be a deal that no one wants. Will MPs vote for it anyway?
If the Government lose the vote what would happen next. Would May have to resign?

//Don't you just love the luvvies. It's all 'me,me,me' with them. Who gives a flying wotsit about the film 'industry?//

...and you were a teacher Jack? Jesus flaming wept...

I thought the whole point about your beloved (possibly not happening) Brexit, was that it was GOOD for Britain, or is that just little bits of Britain you personally approve of, you know the important bits, like having a blue passport, and shipyards (oops we don't have any of those thanks to the Tories) and fond remembrances of when we had a baker in every village and people had a Turnip for Christmas and lived in a hole in the road and were ruddy thankful?
Have you never watched films or TV Jack or are you just a blithering hypocrite?
A no deal Brexit will only be difficult because they have fannied around for 18 month/2 years bickering over a transition deal. If they had pulled their heads out of the EUs Harris they could have got a deal sorted for day one.

As it is they were so focused on the thing that didn’t matter May (and therefore the UK) have been royally screwed.
There have been castings asking for Irish passport holders but the vast majority have focused on ethnicity or language and where your passport comes from is secondary or not as important. Most I have seen ask for a valid UK passport before they ask for anything else.

If you want to go filming in any country (other than the EU at the moment) you go through the motions of what you have to do to be able to film in those countries.

Some are easier than others.

But perhaps that because I’m not in the same league as Kvalidir. Actually I know I’m not lol
What has the fact that I was a teacher got to do with my opinions on Brexit? I believe that the term for out of work actors is 'resting'. You must be doing an awful lot of 'resting', given the time you spend on here. Have I ever seen you in anything significant?
I didn't know you were an actress Cassa. Have a mooch through Spotlight, it's getting horribly common now, my UK agent and I were discussing it the other day because I can work in Europe. :) x

Jack your opinions on Brexit have nothing to do with you being a teacher, you have every right to whatever opinion you wish on the UK leaving the EU, but your shocking disregard for the arts has everything to do with why I am concerned you were. Without art we are nothing, we are savages, and you might or might not have seen me in anything significant, without knowing your viewing habits I've no idea. I'm not identifying titles for you or you will be able to cross reference me but I was in a massive film which grossed enormous amounts when I was a child, a general release feature film I was in last year won 12 international awards, I lead in a feature film for general release next year and I've been cast but not announced yet in a major US TV series next year with an option, as well as having done a lot of theatre and indie film since a very young age, and so yes I am not working at the moment I'm spending time with my partner. For what it's worth I'm completely out of love with the industry but that's still no reason for me not to lend my voice and try to help those who aren't.
Evening everyone x

Apologies wrong thread! DUH :( x
I wouldn’t say Actress with a capital A Kvalidir. I act on the Amateur stage quite successfully but do SA work as well so not spotlight registered.

I have no illusions about my ability as I’m not photogenic but if your looking for a (slightly *cough cough*) older haggard looking woman with gun and firearms training I’m your woman lol

As we keep gett8ng told by May and Sundary Brexit has to have compromises and we won’t get everyth8ng we want and that apples to those who voted leave and remain.
Tbh I don't buy into that whole photogenic thing Cassa, I'm huge (a strapping size 12/14 which here is practically an elephant) by film standards but I've found the very best actors are the ones who are the least self conscious about looking 'good' or being 'beautiful' all the time and your firearms training is a very useful skill, so don't do yourself down, you're grand and needed as you are in good productions x
You sort it out in advance not on the day. You are imagining more difficulties than will actually result.
How can you arrange visa paperwork in 2 days OG? It's just not going to happen, the jobs will go to those who don't need that paperwork.
Kvalidir, I’m a 12/14 as well but quite short with it. I’m sure my time as an in demand SA will come but going by the amount of AVs I get that are just releases waiting to happen it could be some wait lol

In all honesty Kvalidir I don’t think there will be much difference in the travel arrangements even when we do finally get to leave. I firmly believe there is a lot of scaremongering going on and although there is a great deal of skitteriness at the moment that is affecting the way people are planning I think it’s due more to uncertainty than a fear of things actually changing appreciably.
What is an SA?
That's got to be the toughest job in the world.......acting.
Some of these old people who, as you say say kval, won't be around much longer, seem determined to take the British Film Industry back to it's nadir in the 1950's.
They seem to have forgotten that most British films had to be made in black and white before EU civil servants decided which films deserved generous EU funding.
Jackdaw33 SA is supporting artist or extra in old money.
No deal is the best bet!
but no deal supposedly create havoc, i still have a gut feeling that this deal will get the green light.
No deal gives us the freedom to deal with whom we like. Europe needs us more than we need them. They will come to order.
i sincerely hope you are right, but May's standing has shot up, lots of people seem to believe her lies. I for one won't be happy if this deal goes through, and the country will be worse off all round if it does.
