I’m always amused by these idiots. They never fail to see the irony that hundreds of thousands of combatants gave their lives in order to preserve the democracy that allows them to spout their vitriolic outbursts and sick diatribe.

What an astonishingly stupid and ill-informed woman.
WW1 was not the simple 'fight to save our country' that WW2 was - indeed it *was* mainly about the male patriarchy and aristocracy settling scores in an expansionist war - but the people who fought and died in it were no part of that.
We should respect and applaud their heroism and sacrifice, even if we deplore the actions which placed them in that situation - the blind failure to understand that leaves me speechless.
[ the only alternative is that this woman didn't actually bother to find out what the mural was about, before making her threat to deface it - and no-one who is bright enough to become the President of the SU would fail to do her research ... would she? ]
