She is entitled to her view (actually having been present at the time of the events)and if she felt there was a racist component to the altercation who is to say that there wasn't, except those who are predisposed to think badly of black people whatever the circumstances of their appearance in the press?

Without independent witnesses as to what was and wasn't said it's difficult to know what went on, but folk who see no reason to apologise tend not to, to all. Sounds daft to bring racism into it.
