Not sure if we've done this one? So, you can have a Rainbow car but not one with a poppy. Tsk, what a world we're living in.

If the money was coming from a fund whoever orders the poppies must know where they’re ordering them and consequently where the money is ending up. It’s daft to say otherwise. Political correctness under wraps I reckon. A cowardly excuse.

Meanwhile plod unveils(is that the right word) latest delivery to transport officers in lavish ceremony.

//Times change. Most senior officers, both in age as well as rank, served in the last World conflict and Korea. Many served with distinction. They were not the type to run from danger.//

Wouldn't want to photographed cowering in a locked vehicle festooned with poppies now would they.
Road Fund Licence, Woofgang.
Why are Chief Constables willing to spend nearly £800 to paint their vehicle in gay pride colours and allow their officers to stumble around in high heels and painted fingernails and generally make fools of themselves when a poppy has far more meaning for those we should be demonstrating our respect. If an officer purchases a poppy from a bona fide source then they should and must be allowed, if they so wish , to purchase a car poppy out of their own pocket and, providing their crew member has no objections, display it with pride and solemn respect.

Haha Retro...….it would look like the Care Bears had turned up to the "incident".

It's Vehicle Excise Duty nowadays
The poppies may upset our Muslim brothers and sisters so maybe ditch them after all.
Webbo,
Thank God for a Chief who shows respect and allows former armed service personnel to do likewise . Two constables who lead the way.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit will feature poppies on all of its marked patrol vehicles in the lead-up to Remembrance Day on November 11.
Of course the mounted police will need to look more like a squad straight out of My Little Pony whilst they effect cuts in crime detection to fund a stable full of unicorns.
"It's Vehicle Excise Duty nowadays"

Indeed, but that doesn't answer the question "RFL?"
Webbo, thank you for that article by Joe Glenton in the Independent, hit the nail on the head.

Show some respect Theland for the people who died to give you the freedom to spout that rubbish!
He'll do it on every thread he can , relevant or not.

The cars sporting the Poppy look great.
Do you recognise sarcasm Baldric?
Dad was a POW Burma railway. I respect, believe me!

With you it's a hard call to make sometimes.
I saw it on twitter about a week ago and thought it would kill some of the rumours about the police banning poppies
That's why my wife loves me Baldric!

Copied the Independent article and was going to paste it in the OP. Decided it was too click-baity.
You can see where Zacs got his hilarious 'Gammon' comment from.
