he's bang on plod should be nicking villains not playing silly burgers with online trolls etc.

He certainly is TTT, but that will be his downfall. Can almost hear the ieral knives being sharpened.
He's quite right.

Only last week we had suggestions from some on here that the police should become involved because a poster had falsely said that a long time ABer had died. Regretfully this is how people perceive "crimes" these days. So engrossed are they in the cyber world that they think it's real.
I forgot to add that the incidents that worry people are muggings, burglaries, robberies and anti-social behaviour that makes their lives unpleasant. They're not too fussed if some nerd goes online and says they have died. They're more worried about actually dying as a by-product of one of the above. To that end they don't want the police force made up of geeks pawing over a computer for days on end searching for "hate crimes" committed online. The want big, burly six footers who will nip out, restore law and order and feel some collars. It helps them sleep soundly at night (whilst their phones and computers are switched off).
The term 'plod'is rather outdated as it is a reference to walking a beat which doesn't happen anymore.
