Chris - could you tell me why my emails don't open up some days and open up other days. Right now I can't get them opened. Thanks for any advice.

How are you accessing your emails?

Is it via your provider's website?
. . . or are you using a dedicated email client on a PC (such as Windows Live Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird)?
. . . or are you accessing your emails through a phone app?

No not as advanced as that. Just an old fashioned computer with monitor and big keyboard. I use Outlook for emails - the mails come up ok - then I double click on them to read them (this usually opens them) but recently they have been a headache.

I have tried switching off and on etc.
Aaagh!

I was hoping that you wouldn't mention 'Outlook' because Microsoft branded two entirely different things with that name and it's easy to get confused!

When you want to view your emails, do you use your web browser (as you're doing now to read this post) and go to the Outlook website or do you use a completely separate program (which happens to be called 'Outlook') which is solely for your emails?

Since that last time when I tried to order something - I have to use the browser Google Chrome that takes me into the Outlook

But I stay on Firefox for everything else. When I wanted to use Firefox for emails - that Error 502 came up - think that was the right number.
Question Author
Chris - you gave me an idea - I opened up another browser Internet Explorer and was able to open one up there. That'll do me. Thanks Chris
The 'Error 502' message in Firefox suggests that there's an out of date cookie (or something similar) in Firefox's cache. Clearing the cache and removing cookies ought to fix the problem.

However I'm baffled as to why the Outlook website should be playing up (with some emails not opening) in Chrome. It might well also be related to a problem with the cache. Try following the instructions here:

Crossed posts but I'm pleased you've got there at last anyway!

Don't know what I have done Chris - everything is ok except I hit the button Beta and have condensed the emails - how can I undo this.

Think I done this ages ago and somebody advised me. Want back to being able to see the whole page.
