I can’t deny it would make my day to see Trump brought to book, though.

Ha ha ZM, you are amusing sometimes.

The TTT Minion.
It would be nice to think that the avalanche of lies, nonsense, backtracking, bullying, misogyny, racism, and just generally being a repugnant human being would add up to Trump being removed, but sadly, it is unlikely to happen.

A lot will depend on the midterms coming up. If the Democrats can gain control of both houses, or at least one of them, then at the very least Impeachment would be on the agenda.

More likely, however, is that Trump simply becomes a one-term president.

A lot depends on the state of the economy and the extent to which the ill effects of any trade war have started to bite
He abuses his office the way he breathes - all day every day without a thought in his head.
One has to be careful to distinguish abuse of office in the legal sense from the moral one. It's kind of clear that Trump was more interested in winning the presidency than in actually being president, and he's certainly set new standards in hypocrisy, but I am not sure if that is quite the same thing as abuse of office.
If the man found a cure for cancer the banshees would still be baying for his blood.
On the other hand, he could shoot someone in the street and people would still support him.
Unlike my example, yours is an unknown Jim.
Trump's never going to find a cure for cancer, so yours isn't testable.

On the other hand... mine is literally a direct Donald Trump quote. :/
There's confidence for you. ;o)
ich; "If Trump goes for re-election in 2020 there’s a fair change a rival republican would stand, splitting either the republican vote " - and giving it to the Donkey's, right oh! Trump is currently favoured by 79% of republicans would they sabotage their own man?
