In what way was Neil Kinnock ‘loopy’?
He wasn't a Conservative Sp. Obvs!
sp1814 - silly question - i'm surprised at you

Don't you know that all labour politicians are loopy ?
gawd elp us Kinochio jnr! that's all we need!
they are not all loopy baz, some are completely radio!
Bad idea from Stephen Kinnock.
Stupid boy, He must take after his father his mother was brighter than that. Why would they want to upset the Russians, They have been indirectly supporting labour via the unions for years
Question Author
Not only a bad idea, for it will achieve nothing but bring contempt upon England, but also extremely discourteous to the host country, whatever one may think about their government.
I sympathise, but it’s actually against FIFA ‘rules’.
The World Cup should never have gone sighing a million miles of Moscow, but that bird has flown, sent on its way by Sepp Blatter and his cronies.
It would do no good and we really don’t want to upset President Trump any more that he is already lol
I think you’ll find it’s the Tories who’ve been getting the Russian money in recent years. That isn’t a political point, just the truth :-)
Neil Kinnock was far from loopy. After all he ended up as Vice President of the European Commission, a very lucrative post!
"The World Cup should never have gone sighing a million miles of Moscow" - quite, next they'll be giving it to some middle eastern tish hole! hang on!
At least they seemed to have abandoned the idea of increasing the number of teams in Qatar to 48. That really was healing insanity in insanity.
It’s a shame this World Cup is where it is as it’ll be the last ‘normal’ one
Or even ‘heaping insanity on insanity’
Kinnock, like his father, is now a rampant Euromaniac. The USSR has been spurned for a new suitor, the EUSSR.
Stupid man.
You don’t go as a guest to another country and challenge their regime.
It’s not like they are there for political reasons. Sport shouldn’t be used as a political football. (!!)

Perhaps if we hadn’t interfered in other countries before, the world would be a better place now.
Well the Russians are using football as a political sport so no qualms there. They blighted the London Olympics and the Sochi winter games with their state sponsored doping. And there football is mired in drug taking and corruption.
It’s still a daft idea tho.
Then we shouldn’t stoop to their level.
Treat it as a sporting competition and keep politics out of it.

Disappointed , I so thought this thread was going to be about Mr Trump junior !
Rather a daft think to say especially given the rather widely( after the poppy thing) known fact FIFA do not allow political gestures.

Guess he didnt think it thought or fell out the commons bar into some journo's lap and blurted it out.
