These people have been found guilty of using the service whilst being in the receipt of dark skin.

Only kidding...I’m sure that the people who reported these black people would’ve done the same if they were white - but how many times has anyone reported a suspected burglary to the police and benefited from a helicopter being scrambled!

Awesome.

What’s the best way for black people to show they are not thieves whilst using Airbnb?

Facts are precious. It is the case that young black men commit a vastly greater percentage of criminal behaviour compared with their white, or Asian, neighbours. There is no evidence that disproves that assertion. There are myriad reasons why that is the case. So let's face the facts and attempt to arrive a strategy that combats the problem. Bleating about discrimination achieves nothing.
spath, you are also judging people by what they wear.

//Did you even recognise I was using your words from page 1 and not mine?//

No. I did not.

And for the record, I don’t support the use of the N word by anyone. I know why rappers do it (to ‘take back’ the word), but I don’t think that works. It just confuses people.

But that’s a massive side step from the subject at hand.

Rappers have nothing to do with this story.

You make a good point.

...apart from the bleating thing.

But not a massive step from your near accusation aimed at spicerack.
They should carry their papers with them at all times and present them on demand. It's what some folk insist ID papers are so wonderful and necessary for.
To ask "How Should Black People Use Airbnb?" is ridiculous from the off. A small group of people encountered a problem because a neighbour spotted stuff being loaded into a car and suspected a burglary. That’s what happened. Nothing like keeping things in perspective.

/// I have to say, the suit thing has worked so many times for me. Last year, I went to Winter Wonderland straight after work. The following day we were going to a dinner party. I was in charge of buying the booze as a gift...as I waited to get into WW, my bag was searched. Bringing bottles in was absolutely forbidden, but the chap at the gate looked at me and said, "I can see you're not a chav - you won't be drinking this...come on in". ///

So if it had been a hard working white labourer, and he wasn't allowed to bring the bottles in but you had, would it have been in order for him to cry racism?

But AirBnB has a ongoing issue with the way that black people are treated using its services.

This isn’t a one-off.
Might that be a public perception issue rather than an Airbnb one ?

No - it would have been his clothing, not his race.

That’s what I mean. There are many things that determine the way that people are treated. Clothing, sex, race, age, class are all determining factors in the way people are treated.

Okay.
" There are many things that determine the way that people are treated. Clothing, sex, race, age, class are all determining factors in the way people are treated."

How does this tie in with your opening statement?

"These people have been found guilty of using the service whilst being in the receipt of dark skin"

/// You are the recipient of white privilege. ///

What is this 'white privilege' you are always going on about.

You really must try and remove that chip from your shoulder.
sp, //AirBnB has a ongoing issue with the way that black people are treated using its services.//

This isn’t about Airbnb’s service.

Yes but the black person has an advantage, if one fails they can always fall back on their colour.
