Are you asking whether a white person would be able to state that a number of black women are lightening their skin?

Yes.

A white person can easily say that.

What makes you think that white people cannot comment on a recognised social trend?
AOG - // Ah! I see, one can say anything within the law, but be prepared to be insulted if your views happen to be opposite to the likes of yours. //

Well I'm not going to insult a view that agrees with mine am I?

That would be ludicrous!
AOG - // Perhaps I have been on AB so long and had the racist card played against me so many times that I am beginning to think that most things that are discussed concerning black persons are deem to be racist. //

Is that violins I can hear?

//Since I seemed to have got it all wrong perhaps I should have made the headline, "Why Are Black Women Unattractive". //

Well you could have done, but that would not have made any sense with the link you posted, so it would have been pointless.

But to save you the trouble, I can answer that for you -

They are unattractive for the same reason that white women are unattractive - attraction is subjective, not everyone finds attraction in the same people.

Read the article, what I am addressing is the fact that some black persons are saying that black men find a lighter shade of black women are more attractive than a darker shade of black women.

These are not my views, I am only reporting on the report.

/// Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live Drive yesterday, the performer explained that women who are darker shades of black come under pressure to be fairer as it is deemed more attractive by both black and white men. ///

/// Journalist Trina Green, editor at High Voltage in Los Angeles explained that part of the problem was down to the way black men perceived women of their own race ///
But you’re not only reporting on the report. You’re asking a totally spurious question. Maybe ask for the thread to be pulled and ouncan start all over again, eh?
I watched the interview. And it's not just black people who lighten up their skin.

Imagine if it had been Nigel Farage or President Trump who had made those remarks, I think that the usual suspects would have took a completely different response than the 'shoot the messenger, especially if it is AOG' approach that we are now seeing.
You are always moving the goal posts.

It doesn't matter who said it the fact is women with darker skin are lightening it. That's a fact.

Blimey it's took a long time for the 'excusing' examples to have been rolled out.

It is you and others who are moving the goal posts, it is not just about the lightening of Black Women's skins, but the reason why they are lightening them.
40% of black women in London use skin bleach to lighten their skin.

There ... I've said it ... Shocking innit.
AOG, that is not what your post is asking
//, but the reason why they are lightening them.//
70% of white women using skin darkening products!!
Funny things ... Women.

Well since most of you chose, for your own strange reasons, to get it wrong, let me more or less say what this black person is saying, not that I agree with her, simply because to me she is insulting women of her own race.

So here goes:
"Why Are Black Women Deemed Unattractive".
She's not.

There is, sadly, a perceived 'heirarchy' when it comes to degrees of blackness.

By whom?
Bleaching skin (and she's not trying to be white) and tanning skin can improve the skin tone.
When I was between 8 -11 years old I used to paint my feet a lot, different colours, like feet could be red or green or blue etc, then I’d paint each toe a different colour. But I would always paint my toenails black. I would also sometime paint my freckles on my arms different colours
