He is turning this fiasco into a party politics fight, he is prepared to let one of his go so that he can then point the finger at May and demand she sacks the Children and families minister Nadhim Zahaw for also attending the event.
I think Labour is shooting itself in the foot. I wonder what the party will look like by the time elections come round again? Sensible people who actually look around the world realise that hard left tactics never work so I'd guess Labour will be looking pretty unelectable.

Not much good demanding a sacking from the opposite benches, while at the same time keeping one of his own who also attended the event.
