is that it, i thought he might be vilified by the abers who dislike him, no matter what he says or does.
According to my family he has not been welcome up there for a long time - riding roughshod over the locals and trying to kick them out of their homes

that is what i had heard, read, so not so popular in some parts of Scotland.
He won't be welcomed by any Scot who knows how he tried to force a totally innocent crofter/fisherman - whose home was on the land at Menie which Trump wanted for his golf course - from his property by fair means or foul...mainly the latter.

doubtless there will be people who are the opposite of what emmie mentions, ones who will adore his every move, even in Scotland. My Scottish frinds aren't among them, but I have no idea whether they're in a majority.

For the record, I don't want him to be banned from visiting any part of the UK, but for him to insist that he isn't aware of his unpopularity beggers belief....he can't be that naive surely ?

I would say he is not welcome, but I don't talk for all Scots .

The easiest way for Trump to be exposed for the racist, misogynistic slob that he is, is for him to make as many appearances as possible. Give us the opportunity to protest ( peacefully of course )
I can say I know no one in my family/social / employment circle would welcome trump to Scotland .
i suppose if he crass enough to wear a kilt the question will be 'donald where's your troosers?'
In building ther new stadium Chelsea FC are doing exactly the same things Donald Trump did in Scotland but not people seem up-in-arms about this? (Not a Trump fan by the way)
