I’m surprised nobody has brought this unheard of situation until now, up for discussion.

What are everyone’s views?

Kim Jong-Un (or his puppet masters) are cleverer than they have been given credit for - quite a neat propaganda coup I think.
Is this apropos of something?
Ah, thanks. Propaganda me thinks.

Do you not watch the News, Z-M?

I wonder how many of them will return to the North afterwards.
Chrissa, ‘It is common practice to offer a link to the news article you would like to discuss’

Would you like to further the debate or are you just sniping tonight?

I don’t, snipe!!!! It has been on all the News bulletins throughout the day.
I assumed “News” posters were up to date with the News of the day.

I reiterate. I don’t, snipe.
I haven’t heard any news all day and use AB to catch up on the major events. It’s just common courtesy to provide a link.
“I wonder how many of them will return to the North afterwards.”

I wouldn’t blame them one bit.
Blimey, Zacs...this really isn't like you....especially given the title....
Chrissa never snipes.....I have found her lovely with a good sense of humour......

If it was morning I'd ask if you'd got out of bed on the wrong side...unless you've had a duvet day?....;-)..x

Aw fanks, gness.

It’s certainly put the “kaibosh” on any further input from me. :(
"I wonder how many of them will return to the North afterwards?"

Probably all of them because I expect their families will have to stay in the north.
Games like everything these days are becoming another political playground.. hope there are no reprisals for Korean athletes that don't do well...
The families will be under close watch to ensure the athletes do go home.
astonishing, that's what i think, seeing how they are so split on everything else.
Makes one wonder what pressures/threats are being employed behind-the-scenes ?
as you say no one is going to defect that has family in NK, as that family be in killed most likely. That is the MO of the current leader, he bumps off anyone he doesn't like.
Interesting to see how the ones not picked for team events will react.
we are a cynical lot, maybe this isn't propaganda, but a thawing of relations..
