It's OK no doubt Junket and Barmpot will give him something.
What about Cammy? Unthinkable for an ex PM not to be offered a seat. Maybe he turned it down like Major, Blair and Brown.
//And the move is likely to reignite the feud between the pair after he launched daily attacks on the PM since taking the helm of the Evening Standard in March.//

//In September, Mr Osborne reportedly told his colleagues that he will not stop attacking Mrs May until she is 'chopped up in bags in my freezer'.//

That might have bearing on her decision

Oh dear....I don't really feel that I can intrude into this Tory Party private grief......but isn't this just a giant hissy fit ?
Tory party grief?? What you on about Mikey or have you answered another posting here by mistake?
In all honesty Mikey do you believe that he deserves a peerage after his remarks re the PM?
danny....my views on Peerages are well known !

I couldn't give a flying firkin if he receives one or not.

But this is an internal Tory Party affair, hence the hissy fit comment.

If anyone got into a hissy fit it was Osborne when he was sacked.
You may very well be right Danny....but I still couldn't care less.

As far as I am concerned, the HOL is already stuffed to overflowing....if they all turned up, there wouldn't be enough seats !
The whole House of Lords should be closed down. If they send back the latest Commons bill on Brexit they may well find that day closer.
I agree with mikey.
Hissy fit between the Maidenhead aunt and the Eton boy.
That George Osborne now looks like a voice of reason and moderation by comparison with the current dominant voices of Toryism says a lot about that has happened to politics generally since the election of Corbyn, the Brexit vote, and the demise of Cameron.
I doubt if Osborne would accept a peerage anyway.
If he is not harbouring thoughts of a comeback in what passes for the normal political world then I'd be surprised.
//...if they all turned up, there wouldn't be enough seats !\\

The same applies to the H of C.
yep Togo is correct, kill the whole lot off and replace with 100 seat elected senate, good enough for the septics. Why do we need 800+ self important old gits claiming £300 day for kipping on the benches. Complete shower, get rid pronto.
The big difference between the HOC and the HOL, is that the HOC can't have more than 650 Members, whereas the HOL is effectively unlimited.
Didn't somebody call the HoLs(good acronym)the most expensive old people's care home in the World?
