Is there any part of that article we weren’t already aware of?

Oh, and on your own logic........Joseph Stalin.
well it doesnt take a genius to say
that there is someone out there who wants to machine gun Muslims and Christians alike

I thought it was more the anti terror chief saying that he was looking for a day time job to supplement his pension

Someone? Who might that be, then? Buddhists? Sikhs?

Public spaces throughout Europe are getting bollards for Christmas. Some of them festively wrapped.

Here's some in the UK:

What an odd question.

Has this expert been accused of being a far right extremist, or am I missing the connection ?
I think AOG has Tried to equate scaremongering with the far right.

If you can work that one out, let me know.
Given the Muslim hatred of all things Christian I am not in the least surprised that they might choose this time of year to launch their murderous attacks. Mr Phillips is quite right to warn people to be vigilant. Of course, those who still like to maintain that Islam is a religion of peace will dismiss this as scaremongering.
The fact that it is necessary to take the precautions mentioned in the article in order to protect people at Christmas (of all times) is shocking.

More shocking is that two people who've added comments to this thread are, it seems, not particularly shocked by it.

More shocking still is that a third poster finds it funny.
Common sense to be on one's guard at all times, not sure 'wings' come into it.
I thought that we were have been on Red Alert for some time now ?
It's the latter.

We know that because the third line of the article reads thus:

Chris Phillips, who was once head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, has said there should be 'no surprise' if terrorists strike before December 25.

It doesn't say that he was a member of the BNP, Britain First or EDL.

So who do you think he may be talking about, go on, have a wild guess.?

Dave.

He's talking about terrorists.

What's happening today?

Has everyone been sprinkling crazy powder on their corn flakes?

what terrorists ?, have a guess, go on ....

these would be the ones that we need to have christmasy wrapped concrete bollards around Christmas markets and barriers on bridges for.
//Has everyone been sprinkling crazy powder on their corn flakes?//

Just the ones who want to blow you to smithereens I would think.
Thank goodness it's almost time for crackers.
The AB Lefty's are badly in need of new material.
Another fa*rt in a wet suit thread.

Why bother ?
Another post from AOG where he’s realised that he’s not only pointed out how the DM points out the bleedin obvious, but has embarrassed himself in doing so.
// Someone? Who might that be, then? Buddhists? Sikhs? //

well I know the Buddhists - peace lovers all of them - are giving the Rohingya muslims hell in Cox's Bazar but that wasnt what I was thinking about

surely not surely not - buddhists abhor violence
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_violence

and Irish terrorism
the IRA - blamma blamma blamma - boom boom boom
I never looked on them as good Roman Catholics

odd I know

It would appear that the usual suspects are still very slow on the uptake.
