i don't necessarily believe everything i read. But i did read that there had been some sort of feud, and that the letterbox had been shut, so fuel down the chimney might well be true.

Those poor kiddies were quite young, their short lives are now over.

Looking at the photos of the street, there was scaffolding up at the house next door which could explain the petrol down the chimney theory.

its possible, we will know for sure in time, terrible for the mother..

This tragedy took place about three miles from us and is on our local news all the time. From pictures on the first day it happened there was no scaffolding at the house. I think SOCO have built that up to check on the chimney for traces of fuel, fingerprints etc. For someone to climb onto the roof of a house without any scaffolding and pour fuel down a chimney takes a really perverted mind. Anyone who has assisted them or harboured them should have the book thrown at them as well.
