SP, what would you say are the "aggravating and mitigating factors"?
Naomi - // Too long. A short sharp lethal injection administered asap would be better – and if anyone tells me that’s an emotional reaction, it isn’t. //

Of course it isn't - you make your attitude on capital punishment known at every and any opportunity.

And I think that says something about you as a person.
If I was a member of the birth family of this poor little mite, and I was within arm's length of any man from social services who said that lessons had been learned, I would consider it well worth facing an assault charge for the satisfaction gained by punching him in the face.
But she's a MUCH BETTER person than the murdering piece of human filth who tortured and took the life of that innocent sweet baby !!!

Mushroom's link says he shows no remorse. I wonder if he actually feels any remorse.
The child would be alive if the doctor hadn't missed the second fracture (for those who didn't read the report) because then they would have known it wasn't an accident. And if I heard a man screaming obscenities at a crying child I would have called the police. I've done it for animals so I sure would have done it for a child. Several neighbours heard this at different times but I don't think it was ever reported. I'm still wondering where the other adopted child is now as that is surely another life changed forever.
There is a subliminal text here concerning adoption and the nature of the adults in this case.
andy-hughes, // And I think that says something about you as a person.//

Firstly this thread isn’t about me – and secondly I am at a loss to understand why you assume I'm interested in your opinion of me. I'm not.

hereIam, thank you for that. It’s appreciated.
naomi, the aggravating and mitigating factors are laid out in the judgment; they are not sp1814's invention.
Oh right. Thanks jno. I'll take a look.
I've taken a look. Unacceptable judgement - in my opinion.
18 years? ridiculous, double it at least. Let's hope this low life has a bit of an accident eh.
I dont agree with the lethal injection or any other type of capital punishment for two reasons..

1) why should he get off with it so easily, his suffering stops the second he is dead. keep him alive in solitary confinement for the rest of his natural...

2) Apparently, it works out far more expensive to execute someone than to keep them in prison for the rest of their life, due to the appeals etc. according to a USA site I read on the subject some months ago.
this is Britain, we don't execute people, in his case and some others more's the pity.
why are two geezers allowed to adopt anyway? Wrong on so many levels.
TTT...why is it so wrong for two chaps to adopt ?
I have to say that this poor child has been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. I say no more, apart from referring you to TTT's last post.
another sacrifice on the altar of PC cobras. Adoption, social services, et al should all hang their heads in shame over the death of this child. Yet they are probably ticking off their diversity quota scores as we speak, disgusting.
I'd go with lethal injection too. It would be cheaper. In 18 years, she would only have been 19/20.
snap JD your post at 19:27 was not their when typed mine at 19:28.
mikey: "TTT...why is it so wrong for two chaps to adopt ? " - the fact you ask that speaks volumes. Gawd help us if you cannot see why it's wrong.
