It’s fine to say that. But again, you’ll find yourself a whole lot less fed up if you don’t click on the link to the discussion.

Everyone wins then.
SP, I take the rough with the smooth. Some is just more tedious, that's all.
It’s like you’ve walked into a house where a party is going on. In the house each room has different music playing: pop, R&B, country, rap and heavy metal.

What you’re doing is walking into the room where rap is being played and announcing that it’s boring, and that you prefer other musical genres.

The sensible thing to do, would be to go to one of the other rooms, as there are no locks on any of the doors.
SP, Very philosophical, I'm sure - but I'll continue to make my own choices thanks ..... and comment as I see fit.
Your choice. I tend to avoid things that make me fed up.

Therein lies happiness.

/// There are still random
attacks. ///

As there are among heterosexuals, the difference being there are no special organisations such as Stonewall to report on them.

/// There are still issues with homelessness and suicide amongst gay teens. ///

As there are with heterosexual teens.

What makes the LBGT crowd so special?

Slipped up there sp, I read through your link, and it would seem that even on that thread you were defending Islam yet again.

It might be that gay groups have organised themselves for protection against attacks.

I know in your day there weren’t any organisations which sought to defend gay people, but there is now...

...and that’s a good thing, surely?

Since you’re here, can I ask a question - why is it that some from your generation were so anti-gay?

Not all - I can see this from stuff that mamalynne posts, but there are others who are virulently ‘conservative’ in their outlook.

Do you think that some of you were brainwashed into your hatred?

you probably count me as anti gay but I'm not, I'm anti running about trying to cause trouble because of tiny slights that no one really notices. You must be homophobic if you are uncomfortable in the company of gay strangers etc. Some of my greatest heroes are gay, eg Alan Turing and I have several gay friends.
