Mush.....like most people in Britain, I had never heard of Barkley before either, but thanks to MacKenzie's attack on him, I expect lots more are aware of his existence.

I agree with Andy here....I expect to see the DM take on this ogre before very long.....he will indeed fit in very nicely there !

Thus increasing it's readership along with more cash in their coffers, thus making it the most popular newspaper in the UK.

That was quick Ed !

To agree with Andy, all of MacKenzie's problems are of his own making ! But isn't it surprising that even when he says the things he does. someone on AB will support him.
wonder if he will apply for AB editor:-)
I doubt we could afford him!!
He'll never want for work, at least we don't have to read it.
Question Author
Andy ....I agree....think of all the lawyers costs in employing someone like him !

Not only a mod but also part of the company.
AOG - That was the royal 'we' - including everyone, even you xxx.

But you know that perfectly well, and you are mischief-making again - please stop.
Question Author
AOG....have a go at answering this straight question ::::

Should MacKenzie have been suspended by the Sun for what he wrote about Barkley ? To refresh your memory, this is taken from the Independent link above ::

"Mr MacKenzie claimed the Everton player was “thick” and said that when he sees the footballer he gets “a similar feeling when seeing a gorilla at the zoo”.

He also claimed the only other people with “similar pay packets” in Liverpool were “drug dealers”.
The AB 'we' has a nice sound to it.

I like nice sounds.
/// AOG - That was the royal 'we' ///

And I suppose that 'we' would be in order when you answer for a post addressed to mikey4444?

And then get my posts removed for taking you up on it.

But then this always happens when persons debate with you.
I'll read him.
Question Author
AOG....I had nothing whatsoever to do with the removed post.....I don't even know who posted it or what it was about.
This is addressed solely to mikey4444

/// "Mr MacKenzie claimed the Everton player was “thick” and said that when he sees the footballer he gets “a similar feeling when seeing a gorilla at the zoo”. ///

The question that must first be asked is "would he have been suspended if that footballer's grand father had not been black?

/// He also claimed the only other people with “similar pay packets” in Liverpool were “drug dealers”. ///

Judging by the immoral amount of cash today's professional footballers are paid, don't you also think this to be more or less true? don't you think?
Question Author
Still not sure what the answer to my question is though AOG !
