Bloke works hard to get a decent car and these thieving lowlife vermin murder him trying to steal it. Absolute tragedy, throw away the key if you ask me. These savages should never see the light of day again. No doubt some soft judge will let them off with couple of years. Madness

^ Read it and heard it before, it can ONLY apply where 'New and compelling evidence' that was not available at the time of the original trial becomes available after the original trial has finished.
I can see no way it can apply to this case.
Eddie, you said "It was a basic tenant of Law",not so,obviously.
The legal Mens Rea for murder is that a person could reasonably foresee that his actions would result in death or GBH. To me it seems that is proven in this case.
If they have witnesses and/or CCTV evidence then yes it could well be shown to be murder.

Let's hope they have the person repsonsible and deal with them accordingly.

It's horrendous.

BTW 'Tenet' of law is the term.
It is still a tenant of law, the only exceptions are VERY narrow and VERY unusual. They do not apply in this case.
^ Tenet ^ Thanks
