The reason I ask is that immigrants have been wrecking the place for a fortnight, yet I haven't heard it mentioned on the Beeb.

Can't help thinking this should have been covered rather more extensively.

Yeah I noticed that
It used to be Olivier Todd ( impt fella it turned out ) in the late sixties - yes fifty years ago
Oh and before that wasnt it Gilbert or someone who predicted Gen de Gaulle's betrayal of the Pieds Noirs ( "Je vous ai compris") and said he was gonna leave Algeria ( 1962) and the story was spiked ?

yeah and you gonna say well what about yesterday
Nobody is "running away " Sam.

A question was asked and we answered it and given examples where the BBC has reported the issue. There are news items happening all over the world, all the time, and this is just one of them.....so attempt to rubbish the BBC shot down in flames !
yeah and I was gonna say

zair was a leedol in the Times ( ow you say ?) hier
( that was me pretending to be the Fransh correspondent)

inside pages - two column inches - "Paris burns for third week" or something.....

So .... the French are revolting
but surely they have done that before ?
( "qu'ils mangent du brioche" and so on and so on )

Sozza about the foreign quotes
i only do it to vex the usual suspects
You should have put this question to BBC newswatch and got to speak to one of the editors personally about why there is not enough coverage of this story.
// (Exit, chased by a Breitbart bear)// itchy

Exit, chased by a Breitbart bear to Itchy-koo park - what did you do there ..... ( hit in the er sixties )

is Breitbart - german for Brexit - dis-moi !

I think I should get ( "I'll tell you whaaaat ! this thread its a good thread full of good nooz. I like that") BA for my amazing off the cuff history of Beeb Paris correspondents

Breitbart is an excellent source of honest news, named after it's late founder Andrew Breitbart, Pierre. (suspect you knew that)
I'd recommend it to any ABers who are fed up of the nonsense the BBC churns out under the pretext of news.
Editors prioritise news items in order of importance, and like some here the BBC it seems, deemed this rather low priority. Migrants creating mayhem in Paris? What’s to report? Just another day.
I was interested in this question until the 'lefty rant'. Enough with shuffling people into groups!!! Oh and this little gem //Breitbart is an excellent source of honest news//

That ^^^ should have put it in Jokes.
Editors prioritise news items in order of importance,

yeah and the question was - why had the editor of the Beeb prioritised the word games of Mr Trump - Tony Blair and Brexit,
dammit pressed a button ....

weather in california and tesco pricing
over Paris burning ?

I mean even Hitler asked " Brennt Paris ?"
and Sam is asking why the Beeb arent

[ sozza Nigh - needless foreign language quote just to irritate ]
Here is an "independent" report, something that the BBC is unable to provide, and an indication of the scale of the unrest. It looks like it may escalate into other parts of France. What next.......other parts of Europe??

Have Sky got a Paris corespondent does anyone know?
The reason I ask is that Samjenko tells me that immigrants have been wrecking the place for a fortnight, yet I can't see it mentioned on the Sky News pages.
Watch some other news channel then Sam. If you are bright enough to spot this conspiracy by the BBC (an probably every media outlet except the Mail/Express) then are you saying others are too dumb to spot it?
I watch the BBC news both at 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock, also newsnight occasionally and have not seen this reported, yet according to the Express link tourists have been warned to stay away, especially in the Saint-Denis area.
Poor Paris, it used to be so wonderful. And I feel so sorry for those SK tourists. They probably had been saving up for years for this trip. Then they find it is a hell hole.
>After all, they have 3,500 journalists on the payroll. I'm suggesting they have an agenda that is endangering members of the British public
I don't see where you get that idea from. Has the Foreign Office advised against travel to Paris- or are they in on it too
Aulnay sous Bois and Saint-Denis have always been areas where tourists would be unwise to venture - indeed on visits to Paris 10 years ago, I always made sure to travel from CDG on a train that didn't make any stops after Sevran-Beaudottes. so, same old, really.
I'm asking why this hasn't been covered by the BBC News

You asked if the BBC had a Paris correspondent. You're been given an answer. Yet somehow this is "adding nothing of value to the thread"?

Why waste everyone's time by asking things you don't want to know?
