'and UKIP's "we'll spend the £350 million a week on the NHS"'

You'd best cross that one off your list, Canary. (Because they didn't say it)
(Because they didn't say it)
They wrote it on the side of a bus - you could hardly miss it.

Not this again.
and UKIP's "we'll spend the £350 million a week on the NHS".

Vote Leave was a cross party campaign, Canary. UKIP didn't say

"we'll spend the £350 million a week on the NHS".

Question Author
Nobody said it.
Douglas, have I got news for you ... I have never seen the Private Eye site (subscription isn't it?)
TTT....give over about the Tibetan nonsense. Nobody knows what it really means, as it is a figure of your own fertile imagination.

If what is being suggested in the media is true, and Nuttall is being economical with the actuality, then he doesn't deserve to win, or even take part.
If UKIP weren't responsible for that slogan, why did Farage rescind it the day after the referendum (which I saw him do live on TV).

Question Author
OMG he's got a scapegoat.
You need to get a new TV, Canary. Farage could hardly 'rescind' something that had nothing to do with him.
Lynda Roughley said she was "entirely responsible" for two press releases that were posted in 2011 and 2012.

LOL ... Bless her little cotton socks

A confused Canary ... firedamp blurred your memory, Canary?

And canary the bus said"we send £350M a week to the EU let's spend it on the NHS instead , it was a suggestion and not from the government but from the leave campaign.
Question Author
It didn't say that Webbo, it said 'lets fund the NHS' see the subtle difference? It doesn't say that all of it was to go to the NHS.
But I think the main word is "let's" which is a suggestion LETS go to the pub on Friday, LETS go to Spain on holiday, .
Question Author
'Let's' isn't the word in question. The slogan left no doubt that some of the money was supposed to be used to aid the NHS. But it no way says all of it was. It's all academic anyway as it was another stupid vote catching soundbites designed to appeal to the politically naive.
“I haven’t lost a close personal friend, I’ve lost someone who I know,” he told presenter Dave Eason, adding: “I haven’t put that out, that is wrong.”

Now his press officer, Lynda Roughley, has said she was "entirely responsible" in a late-night statement issued on her behalf by Ukip.

Whatever it was, it got the desired result, a result that some of you refuse to accept.

Get over it, you lost.
Lynda Roughley has all the appearance of having fallen on her sword here.

But Nuttall should have been aware of what was contained in his own website, especially a potentiality incendiary issue like Hillsborough.

he still has an awful lot of explaining to do.
