I was looking at the figures in the link which are terrible in some cases, especially the Sunday papers.

What paper do you take?

We have The Mail delivered, and usually pick up a Sunday Times. I do think print newspapers are dying, which is a shame because there is a value to specific viewpoints based on a political and social stance taken by the editor - and it will be a sad day when that dies out, as it must as generations consume news electronically.

Mail on Sunday & Sunday Express(purely for the crosswords)
None. My son is a paperboy and it's mainly the elderly he delivers to. Most of them read the Independent or Guardian with a few Daily Mails thrown in.
Stopped buying them when the Sundays went to £1.50 and the Daily Telegraph went to 80p midweek - so quite some time ago.

2 a day Mon - Fri
1 on Sat
2 on Sun

Ummmm - just out of interest, has your son's paper round shrunk over time? (assuming he has done it for a while?)

Yes, Vortex, he's been doing it for years. As he delivers to sheltered housing sadly they die. One elderly lady died last week.

Andy Hughes - I agree. Also, it's a bit like the book v kindle argument i.e you can't beat holding the real thing in your hands!

I wonder how long some of the daily's can last in print form...
I have a kindle and have never read a book on it.

Ummmm - that's sad. I know someone who did a football pools round and his customer base was predominantly over 60. He would inevitably lose one every year. Incidentally, the pools operator scrapped all collectors recently!
Used to buy quite a lot of newspapers but find I can get most of the news on-line. Miss Sunday Express for the crossword, but can help others.
Never.
It'll be a very long time before hard copy papers stop. I'm not surprised there's less fall-off in the 'quality' papers as they have more to offer
Question Author
Ichkeria - yes, the figures would seem to suggest that.
