So some women are moaning about wearing revealing clothing and high heels. Where I work the Company struggles to stop them wearing inapproiate clothes especially in the summer.

But what really gets my goat is that women are not the only ones that have to abide by a dress code. For instance I have to wear csocks, they dont, in many places I have worked I have to wear a done up collar and tie, they can wear a loose blouse, women can wear shorts, I cant.

Do the women really want to abide by the dress code i have to?

You should see what I have to wear for my evening job
Are you comparing wearing high heels to having to wear a tie?
Tell them that they're judging you by your outward appearance and that they're obliged, by ooooman rights, to call you Shirley as you perceive yourself as a different to your gender appearance.
If a woman is being forced to wear high heeled shoes and revealing clothing , against their will - then yes
:-)

We've had the high heels debate before - from a personal view point as I can no longer wear them it feels wrong and one should not be forced to reveal more than you are comfortable with or change hair colour to 'fit' an image.

You make good points re menswear though.
In my office the dress code for men for ages, including the wearing of a tie .

A while back , i challenged why we were required to so do , when we were not interfacing in person ,with external customers

The powers that be ,i'm happy to say saw my point
"Campaigners say too many employers are "stuck in the past" and are forcing women to wear inappropriate shoes and uniforms at work." - "Campaigners", is that code for jealous ugly birds!
In our angry mind obviously it is.

So glad I'm out of the workplace now, it's a flamin' minefield !!
TTT...Get your partners high heels (assuming you have a partner) and walk round in them all day. Come back to us with the results.
tell you what ummmm, without me you'd get bored on here!
I'll ask my husband ummmm!
I was astounded to hear that some companies force woman to wear high heels.
Hopefully this will put an end to it.
We discussed this issue of uncomfortable shoes some time ago YMB....in December 2015 ( I think)

If women want to wear uncomfortable shoes, and have to deal with bunions later in life, let them, but they shouldn't be forced into wearing them.

Simples !
I've never worked anywhere where you have to look smart at work but surely if Men are required to wear a smart suit and tie then women should wear a smart tailored suit or dress and court shoes which can be an inch high hardly difficult to walk in (my mum who is 77 now says in the late fifties and sixties she only ever wore 4 inch stilettos dawn till dusk ,working ,shopping and cleaning )over the years I see women in the city in flip flops , bare shoulders floaty casual clothes
Why do men ( myself included ) like to see a woman wearing a pair of high heels ( and i don't mean ridiculous high heels ).?

Afteral they weren't around in cave days, time .

Bazile....I would hazard a guess because it makes their chests stick out, but I may be wrong of course !
why should women have to wear heels at all if men don't?
