Youngmafbog - //Why do these people feel the need to do these things? //

It's not 'these people' - it's one individual who has obviously misinterprerted the requirements of his faith in terms of prayers, and when it is appropriate to complete them.

//Will they ever integrate? //

Who is 'they' - it's one individual.

//And why wasn't he fired? Oh hang on I can guess. //

He may well be - give it time.

" Muslim leaders slammed his actions ". So its not going to be a regular occurrence.?
Left stranded?
Put the childrens lives at risk?

What utter overblown rubbish.

He should not have prayed, but the over reaction is astonishing.
//Coach company Vision Travel apologised and said the driver was given a warning.//

He should have been sacked.

He has acted poorly, as stated his prayers could have waited - glad the Muslim Leaders agree.

///And why wasn't he fired? Oh hang on I can guess.

'Coach hire company Vision Travel apologised and said the driver was given a warning'

/Will they ever integrate? //

While people are making excuses for them, no they won't. Clearly the apologists don't realise they're known as 'useful idiots'.
It was, as anyone with a reasonable view of the circumstance agree, a particularly crass and irresponsible thing to do.

But that does not parlay into sensibly questioning why Muslims pray, or to raise a question of integration.

Both those are utterly irrelevant to the situation, and the way it has been dealt with.
//What utter overblown rubbish. //

maybe a little DM hyperbole, but the BBC covered it too - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-37643714

the location, eastern road, is the main non-motorway route in and out of portsmouth and is busy all day, every day. there are no parking refuges or shoulders and the road has double yellows throughout its length. a large vehicle stopping here would represent a serious obstruction and/or collision risk. further, the driver stopped less than 3 miles from the party's destination. belief beggared.
Pulling over a bus full of children on a busy road to wash your feet and pray is the actions of a nutcase ... if you did something similar not in the name of any religious edict you would be regarded as bonkers!

belladonner, my post was in response to the question, "Will they ever integrate?"

belladonner, I won't write a complex essay, but there are plenty of threads here on the subject of Islam that you might like to read.
It's a disgrace. Before we know it " these people " will be working in hospitals, schools , education , politics. !!!!!!l

Without knowing this man's employment history with the company, I don't feel qualified to say that he should be fired.

Better he learns the best way to handle this and stays in employment rather that having to sign on every fortnight.
belladonner, but what’s really disgraceful is this man parking his vehicle full of passengers on a busy highway because he decided to pray.
