I have some Thai neighbours, and this next question is very real. In order that I don't make a complete twit of myself, just how do I pronounce his name please ?

I forgot to mention, but I have never seen a Country's people so devoted to a King or Queen.

There is going to be millions in mourning, openly crying in the streets, (i dont mean like North Korea) and probably unrest, as his eldest son is a bit of a lad.

TTT....I would never disrespect Betty ( OK, OK then HMQ ) I have no problems with her as an individual whatsoever. In fact, if we were to have a Republic, and she put her name forward, she would have my vote.

Its the office of an un-elected Head of State that I have problems with, not the present r any other future incumbent.

Prudie....all those people ( with the hopeful exception of Trump ! ) were elected into Office and we get the leaders we deserve.

But after a small amount time, say 4-5 years, we also get the opportunity to kick them out of office as well.

Actually, if you count dethroned monarchs, the longest reigning is King Michael of Romania who came to the throne in 1927 and then again in 1940.
