Pc49 Changes Into Robo Cop
96 Answers
To all the Islamic sympathisers on here who often say, "we have always had killings on our streets" or "we have always had terrorism, just look at the IRA", I say this:
"That may well be, but the change from PC49 to Robo Cop, lies firmly at the door of ISLAM".

/// Andy - and what about their treatment of women? ///
They are not all like that, only the majority. //
And how exactly do you know this?
Are you advised by the majority of Muslim men how they treat the women in their families?
Or do you rely on the standard stereotyping that passes for informed knowledge about another culture from a large number of the UK populace?

from andy-hughes: //I believe that Islam is a peaceful religion that has been hijacked by a small group of terrorists who use it as a cloak to hide their entirely secular and power-based aims, and to indulge in their terrorists activities in the belief that this gives them some level of pseudo-respectability - at least to each other. //
He is appallingly mistaken.

To those who appear to suffer with Islamaphobia, have any of you went to a Mosque, had a talk and seen the goings on and the inner workings of a moderate and peaceful organisation or do we sit behind the settee wringing our hands and tearing out our hair at what we are fed by the media before heroically spluttering outrage and fear on the internet to likeminded folk?
Never live in fear unnecessarily.
My motto has always been "If in doubt, close the computer and get out and about"

Olivio, many of those here who appear to suffer with Islamophobia only appear that way to people who know nothing about Islam. They’ve often done rather more than visit a mosque occasionally, which incidentally, would never educate anyone in the ‘inner workings’ of a religion that is, for its adherents, a complete way of life.
Olivio - I'd like to support Naomi's response to your post. I taught in Bradford and Halifax over a period of 30 years, so I know a fair bit about Islam and Muslims. I am not Islamophobic - but I do recognise the huge differences which imbue their culture and outlook and the problems which result for our culture and country as a result of the presence of enormous numbers of them.

Being 'mistaken' - and that's just an opinion, so let's not have it stated as a fact - is an absolute.
I am either mistaken or I am not mistaken, there are no degrees, so let's leave out the Mail-esque additions which are not only inflated opinion, but grammatically inaccurate.

If you are not fed by the media, how do you know what is going off around the world, or are you privileged to obtain your information from source?
And I realise you are new to this site, but perhaps you hadn't noticed that it is called the 'News' section, so one is encouraged to debate on the current news, and how you can tell we are "sitting behind the settee wringing our hands and tearing out our hair" only you knows, perhaps you gain that information from the source that only you has privilege to?
