I meant the website, Talbot. Getting film and commentary takes time for TV news; and as I said, the BBC are under special pressure to get it right rather than to get it fast. Their rivals don't face the same opprobrium for making errors.
Reports are saying Erdogan is safe but heard no news of his goat.
Talbot, careful not to get his goat, what.
Erdogan's abroad; I think that was the point.
Lawd he wont pop up here claiming political asylum will he?
Erdogan is with Angela in Germany
Erdagan has been speaking on Turkish TV, via an iPhone FaceTime link, but also infront of the media. It looks like he is still in Turkey.
He has urged his supporters to take to the town squares and there are reports that the people are doing that.
It's early stages, but unfortunately it does not look like the coup has been successful.
The Turks are hopeless aren't they. We full English(and Welsh) Brexiters showed them how to accomplish a coup d etat.
I watched this on the news tonight and just thought ....STOP! What a potty world this is! Tired now - but no doubt back to normal tomorrow - if I have time.
The army is split over the coup ... it looks like failing.

If senior military figures are being held hostage is this the work of young Turks?
*flight*

I'd take that with a pinch of salt, given that one side will be heavily armed, the other(Erdogan supporters) won't be.
A private Gulfstream jet has just taken off from Dalaman Airport. No destination data showing, I'll keep an eye on it.
Tourist planes from UK are being allowed to land there.
Look on the bright side peeps.
May be, just, may be our friendly Turks will no longer be able to fund Daesh by purchasing cheap oil if this coup achieves their goal.
Nice country for a holiday once. Seems like it's tourist industry will take a bigger nosedive now.. Always a villa for DC and his brood I have no doubt.

Every male does national service in Turkey, and there are about 9million guns in private ownership.
