Of course, and non-one with an ounce of understanding would gainsay that - and I am sure that the law is equally even-handed in the issue of its punishments, which tend not to dwell on ethnicity as an issue.

Some Asian countries have a real problem with European, Australian and American men going to their countries for underage sex. Apparently white British males make up the second largest number of all the sex tourists.
I really hope the residents of these countries don't believe all white men are the same or have such a low regard for their women and children.

Of course, sex with children hasn't always been illegal here. Until 1875 the age of consent for a girl was 12.
In the early 1970s and right through the 80s I witnessed men picking up young girls from care homes and nothing was done about it, just as nothing was done until Saville, really. These men were mainly white but also there were black men and Turkish Cypriots. I have no doubt it was going on before I saw it. The child grooming in Rotherham isn't new but such behaviour wasn't dealt with, children weren't listened to and indeed were considered 'troublemakers' and worse.
