Sounds like they are steering their daughters towards being boys to me. I feel sorry for these kids as they grow up. Also I bet these mothers are a real bundle of laughs on a night out, the only topic of conversation will be politics and feminism, yawn.

Agree they should not be ignored or they will continue lobbying until we are all forced to tow the line.

This is tantamount to child abuse in my opinion.

The two words begin with F and end with it.
I thought that pink had ceased to be 'a girl's colour' quite some time ago. It's not unusual to see junior football teams playing in pink strips these days, possibly emulating Everton, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Scotland

all of whom play in pink.
I think the child should be given a choice to wear pink or not, I certainly do not agree with forcing a child to wear pink just because they are girls, the same and I do not agree with buying girls just dolls, or kitchens or wendyhouses.
I thought that radio came from Radio Rental (mental).
//and end with it.//

I was more inclined towards off rather than it youngmafbog. (^_*)
haha, good one!
As I always say to the children , speak clearly if someone else has to explain your words they may get them wrong.
Possibly Jackdaw both work.
I never dressed my daughter in dresses.

I don't think that a child has a choice in what to wear, during the first few years of it's life.

I wonder what colours most mother's dress their babies in, would it be blue for a boy or pink for a girl?

But then 'today' who knows, perhaps some more 'liberated mothers' would choose to take the Vice Versa option?
You make the word 'liberated' sound dirty Anotheoldgit! Why?
ummmm

/// I never dressed my daughter in dresses. ///

Didn't your daughter have a say in it, or was that simply your choice alone?

Not so Islay, perhaps it is only your mind that thinks that way?
I thought it was radio (rental).????
Oh well could be the North and Saarf London divide.
My wife tells me that years ago that Blue was originally the girls colour.
My 4 yr old grand daughter is a budding
Barbara Cartland. Even her wellies
Are pink!!!
When I had my first daughter I had been bought many gifts of pretty dresses and nightgowns for her - I soon realised these were most impractical for a newborn as they end up over their faces as they wriggle.

Out came the babygros in a rainbow of hues including spotted, striped and ones with cute animals on them.

As both her and then my second daughter grew clothes were bought to suit the occasion and they were allowed input as they matured.

Exactly the same with toys, hobbies and anything else.

I too have a pink obsessed Granddaughter and there's nothing wrong with that.

Dresses aren't helpful when they are crawling either. They get in the way.

They are not very practicable on a building site also. :0)
Welcome back retrocop, hope everything went well with your recent hospital visit?
I have refused a screaming child a pink frock resulting in a full on tantrum , usually because we had gone to buy school shoes ;-)
