Not quite, Mikey. It still has to be put to a vote.
That's why he's put 'agreed' in brackets I suspect.
Don't think so. He's copied the heading directly from the article. "At last!" indicates he thinks it's all sorted.

Togo, I knew what he meant.

Thanks Zacs...at least someone noticed !

But perhaps ACAS should have been brought it sooner rather than later, and then we might have been spared all the recent heartache in England.

Hunt has hardly covered himself in glory over this affair....expect to see him gone in a future Cabinet re-shuffle.
Actually, I don't think the doctors have covered themselves in glory.

From my link ::::

"Discussions first started in 2012, but broke down in 2014"

Four years !

Well done to ACAS for breaking the log jam.
// Actually, I don't think the doctors have covered themselves in glory.//
try being one ....

the problem is that the changes render the third year just like the previous two years ( FY1 and FY2) after qualification

and 55% have ( even according to that arch liar J Hunt ) said they would rather go abroad or give up and do something else ....

so the doctors will have to work the contract they vote for
so presumably will be reading it Very Carefully Indeed

there are various issues such as hospital employers self certifying if they are exploiting the work force
and hey ! there are instances in the past when the Hospital has happily certified X when it erm knows that X is not the case - in fact the opposite.
The DoH refused to speak or negotiate with their employees for god knows now long

presumably the mandarins whispered into the minister's ears
" with a stroke of your pen, minister, you can make them do what you want. Just sign it and a seven-day NHS will be yours - for nothing ! no extra cost at all !"

who would not happily scribble a signature for a rosy future ? - for himself !

mikey - //Hunt has hardly covered himself in glory over this affair....expect to see him gone in a future Cabinet re-shuffle. //

I would agree - his aggressive and uncompromising approach to the doctors played a very large part in the drawing of battle lines on both sides. Hopefully he will pay the price he deserves.

Andy....I have seen and heard him being interviewed yesterday and he still doesn't get it. He was questioned by Jon Snow, on last nights CH4 News and he proved to be as shifty and evasive as ever.

I simply can't understand why Dave has left this man in charge for so long.
