Oh dear! It would have nothing to do with the much larger contingent of counter-protestors would it?

Of course I support free speech, freedom of movement, etc, etc.

And you are dead right....I don't like the ideology of the Far Right, and neither apparently do you.

Mikey > I don't like the ideology of the Far Right, and neither apparently do you.

I support the views of any organisation who are concerned with the serious migrant issues and threat to our culture.

These common concerns are growing throughout Europe and it is these which we ignore at our peril.
Then you admit that you support the Far Right, like the EDL, BNP, etc, etc ?
I don't support EDL or BNP but given the choice of having to support EDL, BNP, or Radical Islam ... I would support EDL and BNP.

What say you , mikey?
Question Author
Not at all Mikey, I would refer you to the list of concerns from vetuste.
You must accept that these are massive issues?
Question Author
Talbot, precisely.
Talbot...you would support the BNP ? Really !

Well, at least you have been honest to admit I suppose.

I'm afraid I can't add anything to what I have already said.
Question Author
Mikey, oh dear, read what Talbot said.

Given the choice of the BNP or radical Islam, who do you choose?
Your posts @ 18:33 says more about you than me, mikey.

Yes I am honest and I have the cajones to say what I really think ... unlike you!
"Then you admit that you support the Far Right, like the EDL, BNP, etc, etc ? "

he can read but cant process !

mikeys had a hell of a slapping on this one (not unusual) but refuses to stay down on the canvas....oh well, keep on slapping peeps, makes for good entertainment on a saturday evening
//And you are dead right....I don't like the ideology of the Far Right//

But is besotted with the ideology of the Fascist far left. Whose only distinction between the right wing nutters is, 2 minutes on the political 'clock'
Question Author
^ Baz, I just wish we could have a sensible debate about the Leftist attitudes. Perhaps vetuste may pick up the baton tomorrow on a separate thread.

It really is frightening the lack of Islamic knowledge and what the real challenges that the UK and Europe face.

You are joking, AG?
I do see myself as more of a lefty and I really do wish wealth was more evenly distributed all over the globe.
But millions of people moving to Europe will not solve anything ( as we have witnessed) we must do more to make the poorest countries a better place to be.

I see that mikey has once again done a runner from a thread.
Question Author
Talbot > ) we must do more to make the poorest countries a better place to be.

Problem is, some are far more willing than others.
ag and Talbot. The problem is and always was, that the far left's answer to the world's inequalities isn't to make the less able or affluent, more able or wealthier. But to impoverish everybody and remove the mentally gifted from positions of influence. They call it equal opportunity. Stalin did as did Mao Zedong as do all the left wing dictators. They of course are exempt.
Yes, very true.

I hate foreign aid, not because I am against it but because most of it is wasted!
AG, when you say, in your OP "Oh dear! I would have ..." etc., I assume you are referring to the mob violence - please correct me if I am wrong.

The short answer is – yes, it would have everything to do with the counter-demonstration.

Violence from, and by either side of this melee is inexcusable and cannot be reasonably defended by anyone at all.

It is hardly reasonable to object to a group of bone-headed thugs by imitating their behaviour on the streets in exactly the same manner.

Ideally, the fascists should have stayed at home, and if not, then the anti-fascists should have stayed at home, because although each would advocate their right to express their views, the only thing that does get expressed is violence, mayhem, and stretched police resources being stretched further needlessly.

No-one emerges with any credit from days like this.
Question Author
Good evening Andy.

> AG, when you say, in your OP "Oh dear! I would have ..." etc., I assume you are referring to the mob violence - please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, indeed I was.

Todays events have done neither side any favours and there was quite a mess at St George's Hall and arrests from both sides. A policeman was injured too.

Regarding mob-like imitation, the same could not be said when Pegida UK took to the streets as that protest was a silent one unlike their opponents.
Good evening, Andy.

Do you agree with Mikey's assessment of the "fascist" threat?
