Already awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of York and more recently made the Chancellor of the De Montfort University Leicester.

Is there no end to the amount of awards one can bestow upon one individual?

According to AOG, they did not get a fair trial and the police did them because they were under pressure.
Yes baz, there must be hundreds of white mothers who's sons have been killed by black gangs. And even more black mothers who lost their sons to black gangs.
Do you honestly believe they had a fair trial?
Gromit, to be fair, I don't think the four examples you posted amount to support of the offenders and certainly not uncommon statements.
"OK, I'm not sure the two people [Baroness Lawrence and Winston Churchill] are comparable really."

You might be right there, jim !!!
Gromit AOG doesn't mention Doreen Lawrence in any of your examples of 'hounding' In view of the highly charged and emotive circumstances that come attached to this tragic set of events, your accusation of hounding Doreen Lawrence, on what is a site that can be accessed by anyone, is pretty heavy stuff. If I was AOG I would be mighty annoyed. You would do yourself a favour to retract somewhat.
Gromit...I expect 50 years from now, when most of us are dead, there will still be people around that think that the racist white boys that murdered Lawrence were innocent.

I have little time for the hate-filled newspaper that AOG constantly quotes from but I will say this.....the DM played a sterling role in getting the correct people to trial, and for that I will always give credit where credit is due.

Its not often you see me quote from the DM but here goes ::::

Togo, you didn't ask for examples of hounding of Doreen Lawrence, you asked for evidence of AOG supporting the murderering scum.

I can't be bothered wasting anymore time on this rubbish, so I suggest you use the AB search above, and cross reference anotheoldgit and Lawrence. You will find numerous examples of him pursuing a vendetta against this woman.

Mikey if I remember correctly it was the Daily Mail that were at the forefront in exposing the shortcomings of the police and judiciary and securing the subsequent trials and convictions. Poor tactic to damn with faint praise!
Yes.........a bit over the top, but I wouldn't take the Leicester accolade too seriously.....

In January 2014, Tatchell was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by De Montfort University.

Says it all.......doesn't it?
Togo....didn't I just post that at 17:51 ?
// Poor tactic to damn with faint praise! //

That was my point mikey.

//I have little time for the hate-filled newspaper that AOG constantly quotes//

This was your point.
There was nothing whatsoever faint about my praise for the DM in my post.

I will repeat.....they did a sterling job in exposing the white racist young men that murdered Stephen Lawrence, and eventually bring some of them, at least, to trial.

My point was that OAG constantly quotes from the DM, sometimes several times a day, which is his right of course. But when it comes to Stephen Mother, he seems to forget the role his favourite newspaper played.
Would you have a problems with this is Madeline McCann's mother received it?
Islay...who was that question directed please ?
It was aimed at anotheroldgit
Thanks Islay !
I can't speak for AOG, but for myself, I would be even MORE incensed if Mad. Mcann's mother had been given a doctorate.
Is this question worth asking?

Is it worth answering?
I think some of these posts are designed to get a rise!
