Also that around 400 people need rescuing or they may die. It's been on every bulletin this week but doesn't seem to appear on the ITN news. Typical BBC guilt trip.

Could it be because human beings are starving to death?
BBC and its leftie agenda...no surprise there...
One could just as well ask why ITN are ignoring such a serious humanitarian crisis.
Yes, 'typical BBC guilt trip.' You've answered your own question, Dave. Now stand aside for a wave of 'refugees' wanting your home and committing 'taharrush'
"Typical BBC guilt trip"

Not sure the BBC could be accused of being gullty of starving people :-)
Well, not with any degree of rationality
dave50....this is a quote from the current BBC News link ::::

"Some 400 people in the besieged Syrian town of Madaya need to be urgently evacuated for medical treatment, says UN humanitarian chief Stephen O'Brien.
Mr O'Brien was speaking after the UN Security Council held an urgent meeting to discuss the crisis in the rebel-held town near Damascus.

Earlier, an aid convoy brought food to 40,000 town residents"

I am not sure what irrational point you are trying but failing to make. Are you suggesting that the BBC made this up ? Or are you raying that we shouldn't be told this news item from the UN ?

Extraordinary.

Baz....BBC reports a real news item about a humanitarian disaster and they are only doing because of the Beebs "leftie agenda"

Extraordinary x 2.

Zzzzz.....
Baz...I and jno have just proved your recent post at 10:47 to be wrong !

( sorry....didn't want to wake you up ! )

And dave50 was wrong as well !
Try diversifying your source of media, dave50.
I think I have seen this story on every news channel I watch.

It's a newsworthy story and the situation needs addressing!
But at least your thread has attracted a diversity of posters from each end of the political spectrum.
people, children are being starved to death and you dismiss it as a guilt trip?

some of the people on this site get worse
I agree Talbot, but in this case dave50 was wrong. 100% wrong.

I obvious that he raised the issue, not as a way of publicising this disturbing situation in Syria, but as a way of trying to bring the BBC in disrepute, which has failed spectacularly.
Yeah, bloomin' BBC reporting a news story. Tschck! what's the world coming to.
Yes it is absolutely shameful that someone posts a story about starving people to show their concern ... About the BBC running with a story about starving people.
If you want to bring the BBC into disrepute even I, as a big fan of the BBC, can think of lots of more plausible ways, which have the added benefit of not making one look like very, very bad
Perhaps the BBC can donate their nosh from their collective canteens and ship it to Syria, instead of guilt-tripping us into waving 'refugees welcome' placards down at the station
I love a good conspiracy theory me.
Happy New Year, Dave.....

Will you be cheering up over this next 12 months at all?

I'd prefer not too see starving and dying people on my TV whatever the station, but that's because there aren't any, not because I believe that any News agency is pushing a particular agenda.
