There is a difference. I am not justifying it but the people executed by the Saudis had been convicted of offences including murder. The IS slaughter innocent people.
Saudi Arabia is the spiritual home of ISIS.

The Saudi Arabs follow a version of Islam called Wahabbism. It is both extreme and very intolerant. ISIS are the foot soldiers of Wahabbism. They are financed from wahabbis in Saudi and other Arab states, and there job is to spread this evil branch is Islam by slaughter and conquest.

Danny is right of course, but Saudi Arabia is far from being a nation to be held up as a lesson to us all.

Its a backward dictatorship, where half of the population are deprived of basic human rights. In fact, the country has an appalling record on human rights overall. The only reason that the rest of the world has to be civil towards Saudi Arabia is because its the world's largest producer of oil.
It also isn't sensible to not be on reasonable terms with every country that holds different opinions to ourselves. If on decent terms one might be able to persuade.
Why is it that some people whilst condemning backward countries nevertheless encourage immigration from those countries? Do they think the incomers abandon their inbred culture the moment they reach the UK border?
Well, it hasn't been much help yet OG !

But we need that lovely oil !
