He's apologised for his error, some might say made a clean breast of it, time to move on.

Has he undergone the BBC PC course then ?
Very good.

I must admit,I'm still slightly puzzled by...

"It was OK in the Stone Age when we knew no better, when people didn't have their own teeth... "

What did he think stone age man ate with?
Hopefully this presenter has been educated in the difference between starting a debate, and being personally obnoxious and offensive when speaking on the radio.

If so, then we can all move on.

The whole matter just 'sucks'.

I see nothing that suggests that anyone of any political hue wants to infringe free speech.

But free speech is a right, and all rights come with responsibility - and on this occasion, that responsibility was misused.

It has been dealt with, and that's the end of it.

It used to be a phrase used by 'fading' comedians who appeared in summer season at seaside theatres.

If the comic told a joke, and people laughed, he would follow it up with 'Tell your friends, I'm here all week ...' in an effort to put some more bottoms on seats through the week of his tenure in the theatre.

No apology required.
I must admit I felt a right tit for being punished for my honesty. :-)
