JJ...no, I can't stand the grandchildren and hopefully they can't stand me. Completely undisciplined and when one tries to discipline them one gets that "what did you say?" look from the parents.

I don't like any visitors turning up unexpectedly, it's always been a pet hate of mine
The only ones that would pop in unannounced are close friends so I don't mind. If they aren't close enough to walk to the fridge and help themselves to a beer/tea/coffee...then I'd rather have notice.
I like to have at least one hour notice, to have quick check that its all tidy, washing up done, and put lippie on.

Ummmm - I am quite close to most of my friends but that I wouldn't like anybody to go to my fridge - I'll offer them tea.beer whatever but I would consider that very rude - like wise I wouldnt do that to them either.
Outwith an emergency I can't deal with unexpected visitors at all and wouldn't expect to pop in on other people.
I prefer anyone who is thinking of visiting me to give me some notice. Anyone who turns up unannounced would be made welcome, but I would not be happy about the intrusion.

sometimes when they call - they control the situation of when they go home - I have one who doesn't want to go home at all - that's a nightmare.
If you mean visitors arriving without notice, its my biggest bugbear, especially if I am cooking, watching a good movie or having a shower.

I have CCTV and if somebody calls without notifying me, and Im not in the mood for them, I dont answer the door.
My next door neighbour pops in every 2 or 3 weeks, no notice at all, and sits and chats for hour or so. I dont mind as we have a nice chat, but I'd never think to do that to her.
Bloody hate them, including family........especially family.

So long as they've stopped off at Threshers (other Offies are available) all are welcome.

Ah you are a geg Sqad - knew I'd get an answer from you like that.
Do you like visitors visiting you

no.

I meet my potential visitors in the pub and under no circumstances give them any indication that they are welcome to my home.
Question Author
sqad - do you not adore your wee grandkiddies?
I've often thought when out with the dogs you'd be reasonably easy to spot. Beware of weirdos approaching you with a bottle of wine saying "are you Baldric"
I'm more than happy for the wife to have her mates round...so I can naff off to the pub with no stress.
Don't like unexpected visitors, appreciate a call and some notice.

Jenny...we've all been friends since we were kids. Over the years many of our friends have lived here on and off.

I worded that badly. They'd ask if they could have a beer.....and it's help yourself.
