No, assault maybe but not child abuse. The local police chief praised her actions but most American police chiefs seem to approve of black men being hit repeatedly. (also TIC)

If his dads played their part rearing kids, bad behaviour might have been sorted earlier. There are too many feral kids causing mayhem due to their dads neglect.

My comment when I first read this story was that she would find herself behind bars in this country, however obnoxious her son was.
