Good morning

Now the dust has settled on our last fall-out, and we have had time to calm down and reflect, I would like to extend the hand of friendship once again, and offer my apologies for any offence caused during our last few heated exchanges.

Life is too short to bear grudges, and we are too old and experienced to allow ourselves to behave in a less than mature and civilised fashion.

We have always climbed over our anger with each other, drawn a line, and moved on, and I hope we can do so once again.

Best,

A-H.

divebuddy - "Blimey Andy, are you really claiming not to understand who Sqad means by..... one who never stops talking."

No, I was just being ironic.
Good post Andy, and a nice reply AOG @9:20.

Has certain advances in technology passed me by, because I can't hear any member of the news section of answerbank talking, but then I couldn't hear anyone chanting, so perhaps it's not just my lack of technology, but maybe my ears?
I feel sorry for Andy and AOG's wives:-)
Surely you mean andy's current wife, melv?
Is she an electrician Talbot?

Comedy gold!
No! no! no!................my take on this thread.

A straight fight between the good guy (andy) and the bad guy (AOG)...with me so far?

Now yesterday following an acrimonious thread, the good guy (andy) overstepped the mark (in my opinion) and was in danger.....just for a moment.....of losing his "good guy " image.

What to do?

Go on the offensive........

So he laid an ambush for the bad guy(AOG) who surprisingly walked straight into it and here we are.."dust has settled"..."hand of friendship"..."life is too short"............all the emotional cliches ..as bait.

The good guy has everything to gain now..."well done andy".."takes guts to apologise"...etc etc............he has retained his crown as nice guy.

Now the ball is in bad guys court..........if he refuses that hand of friendship....it will confirm him as "bad guy"..........if he accepts, then the good guy reigns triumphant again.....leaving the bad guy, still the bad guy.

Well played andy.............AOG....you walked right into it.

Well...that is MY take on the thread.

sounds all a bit clunky to me ... this is a kiss-and-make-up thread isnt it ?
Sqad - do you have SO little to do today
that you feel compelled to give such a close analysis ?

I see the 'Rudeness' is creeping in Andy (sometimes under the comedy disguise) but not from me I hasten to add.
Sqad

And that just makes you the villain of the piece, the likes of which has no right to be on AnswerBank.

You've been watching too many soaps Sqad!

If you really think that I even have a 'good guy' image, much less that I am keen to protect it with such Macheavellian tactics, then you see me as far more egotistical and devious than I am.

There are no 'good guys' and 'bad guys' - I simply take life as it comes, I do not have a hidden agenda, as you seem to think.

So it may be your take - but speaking as someone who knows a little better what is going on in the mind of one of the principles, I can tell you that you are laughingly wrong.

I see no rudeness, Andy often refers to The Current Mrs Hughes
My apologies if my joke was taken the wrong way...it takes two to grovel.lol
The hypocrisy on this thread is unbelievable.

andy-hughes uses the current Mrs Hughes all the time AOG.
Melv, your post was amusing.......like the rest of this thread.
