I wonder if he became disenchanted with ISIS when he got shot? He had probably imagined that he would be killing people from a nice safe distance.

oh dear! i'm sure mr clegg will find a remedy for his problems, and do his utmost.
What planet is she on? He shouldn't even be allowed back into this country.
he is guilty of treason. what is the current penalty for that?
Still the 8 AM rope dance I think. But she's his mum. She went to bring him back. I can understand that.

Watch this space, ladies. There will be ABers who agree with her.

Sorry boaty. Crossed post. I wasn't calling you a lady. ;-)
I'll believe you sve! ;o}

I think most service and ex service personnel will understand that mate.

I'm sure if she looked around a bit more there are some Ex-Forces Guys out there who would be happy to take care of him!
i'm a mother and would grieve but . . . .they both knew the penalties before he went. as parents you have a duty to make your children aware of the consequencies of their actions, even in an indirect way. for goodness sake there has been enough in all newspapers, radio and telly so that everyone knows.
You're not wrong there balders.
Do you not think it's wise that they should be rehabilitated?

At the age of 15 my grandad ran away and joined the British army. He thought it would be exciting. He was completely disillusioned.

These returning jihads are going to fall into two categories. Those who still want to fight and those who are affected by the barbarism of it all and renounce terrorism. The latter should be helped if we want them to decent members of society.
or even grieving parents and relations of service personnel balders.
I agree with you ummmm.

And the fact they were only killing foreign women and children absolves them of their crimes, ummmm?
No...absolutely not. Being traumatised by the experience shows they weren't that radical to start with.

It's like fantasy and then seeing the reality.

I am not defending these people but if they're back here I'd rather they get help and support so they don't pose a threat any longer.

The mother has a point.

I feel we have 2 choices with the people wanting to return.

We either simply refuse them entry back into the UK or we let them back and rehabilitate them back into a civilised society.

Seems a bit weird not to mention downright dangerousto just do nothing.
Sadly it's no longer the 8 a.m. rope dance; St Tone and his mates did away with that in 1998, same time as they dismantled the last working set of gallows ar Wandsworth.
While I'm working hard today, I will be extra motivated to think that part of the tax I pay might be given to terrorists who now feel sorry for themselves.

I will make a big effort on behalf of the failed terrorists.

Or maybe I'll take the day off and sit in Starbucks.
As far as his deluded mother is concerned, it's all the Government's fault.
