Katie Hopkins - Wow!

What Katie doesn't grasp is that her husband's love for her is not rooted in her hip measurement - it's who she is.
I know that's difficult to accept, given just who she is, but it may have done her good to allow her husband to love her as much when she was fat as he did thin - it might have helped to address her seriously shallow hate-bait views about obesity.
That in turn might have made her a less shallow, self-obsessed, over-opinionated, attention-seeking idiot - which would be good for everyone! Media URL: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2889824/Katie-Hopkins-BANNED-husband-having-sex-piling-pounds-fat-people-aren-t-sexy.html

At her "fattest", Katie Hopkins reached size 18. I don't consider size 18 women by default un-sexy, and I don't think of them as particularly fat either. A woman maybe two or three times as large as Katie Hopkins got, on the other hand, isn't sexy to me. But they are anyway two completely different degrees of fat. No contradiction.

AOG - "Good to see you address those important issues andy."
I think the fact that someone is given media space to encourage the perception that overweight people are overweight because they are too stupid and / or idle to be otherwise is important.
Feel free to ignore the issue if it doesn't rank up there with Islamic extremism / patriotism / immigration and your other exhausted hobbyhorses.

ummmm - "I think most fat people would rather be thin but not all fat people are lazy. My friend is big and she runs marathons and does that north swim...."
Absolutely.
We live in a society where obesity is not seen as acceptable, and it makes the majority of sufferers uncomfortable.
The obvious flaw in Ms. Hopkins' position is that she believes that if she is able to gain and then lose weight, then anyone can do it, and anyone who does not do so is simply stupid, or idle, or both - which is patently nonsense.
The majority of obese people do not possess Ms Hopkins' intelligence and willpower, together with her support systems and financial incentive to lose weight.
It would be interesting if an obese person was offered the same financial reward and training facilities to lose weight, to see if they could manage it.

Zacs-Master "But you support the fact that the reporting of her statement encourages people to believe that fat people are that way because they are idle and or stupid."
I am unsure how you have managed to reach that conclusion from my posts Zacs - "...but it may have done her good to allow her husband to love her as much when she was fat as he did thin ..."
"I merely pointed out that this is incorrect, as supported by ummmm's posts. Your support makes you appear as stupid as Ms Hopkins."
Where do you draw the conclusion that I support her?
My 'support' - as in my original post - "That in turn might have made her a less shallow, self-obsessed, over-opinionated, attention-seeking idiot ..."
Not a huge amount of support there I would suggest?

The 'is important' bit I take to be your own words and conveys a view that you support her belief that fat people are that way because they are idle or stupid. If the 'is important' bit are not your words then you should have made that clear.
